Auto Buying Resources

We want you to make the best decision when you are buying a new or pre-owned vehicle. That is why we are providing you with links to valuable resources to help you with this process.

Valuation Tools

The auto valuation tools can help you decide if you are paying the right price for a vehicle you are purchasing, or give you some idea of what the vehicle you currently own could be sold for. Here at Federated Employees Credit Union, we use the J.D. Power valuation tool. Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds are available as well.

CARFAX® Vehicle History Report

Before you buy a vehicle, protect yourself with a CARFAX report.  You will receive a report tracking the life cycle of the chosen vehicle by VIN.  The report will alert you of accidents, odometer rollbacks, service records, air bag deployment, manufacturer recalls, multiple owners, personal or business use of vehicle, total loss, flood damage and branded titles.  At the CarFax website, you can purchase a vehicle history report.  Visit the CARFAX Website to learn more or begin a vehicle search.

Insuring Your Vehicle

Researching auto insurance? J.D. Power and Associates  compares many of the nation's largest auto insurers. If you are a MN resident, get a quote from Federated Insurance Personal Lines.
